What is the Daily Brief?

Updated over 3 weeks ago

The Daily Brief is your personalized, role-aware morning update from Marzo AI—delivered automatically in Slack (or by email)—that tells you exactly what you need to know to start your day focused.

How the Daily Brief Works

  • Role-Aware Personalization:
The Daily Brief isn’t one-size-fits-all. It’s tailored to your position in the organization:

    • CTOs and VPs: Get a high-level view of cross-team risks, major decisions, blockers, and trends across the org.

    • Engineering Managers: See team-specific risks, slipping deadlines, unresolved blockers, and key commitments for your projects.

    • Individual Contributors: Only receive the tickets, tasks, deadlines, and decisions that directly impact your work—no extra noise.

  • Connects All Your Conversations:
Marzo AI continuously ingests and processes data from Slack, meetings, PRs, tickets, and your org chart to connect related discussions across channels, meetings, and tools.

  • Smart Filtering & Context:
The system learns from your role, team, recent activity, and your feedback (marking as done, muting, following, etc.), ensuring your brief highlights what matters and filters out what doesn’t. As you interact with Marzo, your Daily Brief gets smarter and more relevant over time.

  • Transparent & Actionable:
Every item in your Daily Brief includes a direct link (“receipt”) to the original Slack thread, meeting, or document—so you can quickly dig deeper, mark it as done, or provide feedback.

When You’ll Get It

  • Every morning: Your Daily Brief arrives automatically at the start of your workday (default: 8am) in your Slack DMs or by email.

  • Only when it’s relevant: If there’s nothing urgent or new for you, Marzo may skip sending a brief—so you never get spam, only actionable signal.

Why This Matters

  • Faster, more focused start:
Start your day knowing exactly what needs your attention—no endless Slack scrolling or status meetings.

  • Role-specific insights:
Every person gets what’s important for their job—leaders, managers, and ICs all receive different, custom-tailored context.

  • Smarter over time:
The more you use and interact with your briefs, the better Marzo gets at understanding and surfacing just what you need.
